Even when travelling by river, whether by boat or other means, characters can still have encounters.

This supplement has 100 different encounters for river voyages. Some of them are innocuous whilst others range from the odd to the potentially dangerous. They can be used to enhance a river journey or possibly as adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

55. On a rock next to the river is a large bear (treat as a Predator) that is fishing in the water. It will ignore anyone unless approached or attacked.

56. On top of a cliff overlooking the river is a wooden lift, with a basket on a rope dangling below it (the lift is functional, but can only be operated from the top).

57. Perched on top of a small bluff overlooking a bend in the river is a watchtower. It appears (a Trifling Perception skill roll) to be currently occupied and in good condition and soldiers can be seen on the battlements.
