The Recovery Job is compatible with the rules of Cepheus Engine and other tabletop RPGs using a 2d6 mechanic, including The Original 2D6 Science Fiction Game.

The characters are hired to recover an item that was stolen years ago by a rebel faction, and whose location has currently been found. The item has little intrinsic worth but is valuable for the government and the rebels. They are not the only ones looking for the item and the locals consider it to be sacred.
