100 Cats to Meet in the Monarchies of Mau

100 Cats to Meet in the Monarchies of MauThis is a collection of 100 different cats that could be encountered in the Monarchies of Mau or perhaps beyond. Some are based in specific places whilst others travel or live in the wilds.

Each cat is given a name and a description of who they are and what they do. Some could be useful contacts or providers of goods or services. Others could be potential sources of adventure hooks, allies or foes.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

41. Karan von Rex: Karan lives by the coast in House Rex but has little interest in the sea or travelling, unlike many of her fellows. She is a noted knot maker, who turns the knots that House
Rex is noted for into unusual decorations. Rather than the knots being used to send messages, or for utility, Karan ties them into hangings and rugs, using many different colours of yarn. Her pieces have become popular enough that they are in demand all over the monarchies and are often copied by others.

42. Karl von Aphrodite: Karl describes himself as a freelance trouble-shooter; he travels all over the monarchies solving cats’ problems in exchange for plastic. Though Karl does have a wide range of sometimes eclectic skills, he doesn’t solve everything himself. Instead, he has a lot of contacts who have skills he might need or lacks himself, and brings those in when a problem cannot be troubleshot just by himself.

43. Karole von Korat: Karole is a skilled tracker, putting skill above the raw force that is often seen in the scions of House Korat, who often have a preference for champions and the physical power they possess. Rarely in town, Karole patrols the borders of House Korat, especially the western ones by the forest, looking for the Unseen in order to strike before they can gain ground within the house’s demesne. Should Karole encounter Unseen beyond her individual capability to deal with, she has no problems in recruiting others to help. The goal is the death of the Unseen, after all, not personal glory.
