100 Encounters for Moorlands and Heaths (Zweihander)

100 Encounters for Moorlands and Heaths (Zweihander)

100 Encounters for Moorlands and Heaths (Zweihander)Moorlands and heaths are closely related terrain and end to be the result of long human habitation. Different encounters can be had on a journey through such.

This supplement has 100 suitable encounters for such regions, that can be used to enhance a journey or as potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

30. A tumbledown hut, built from rocks scavenged from the moors, stands in the middle of them. Though most of two walls have collapsed, there is still a small amount of shelter provided by the remainder. From the looks of it (an (Easy +20%) Survival Test), animals and the occasional travellers have used the hut for shelter.

31. A vale cuts through the moorland, a river running along the bottom. The vale’s sides and bottom are divided by walls and a farm sits near to the river (the farm is occupied and the farmer is willing to sell food for 90% of list price).

32. An area of granite has been extensively dug away, with massive gullies leading down into the ground. There are also a few entrances to what appear to be mines in the region. No mining of any kind appears to be going on, nor does it appear to have happened for some years (an (Easy +20%) Tradecraft Test confirms). Searching what appear to be spoil heaps reveals a few fragments that appear to contain tin (an (Easy +20%) Tradecraft Test confirms).
