Dystopia Rising: Evolution is set primarily in the post-apocalyptic land of Nor’Merica and this supplement has 100 rumours that characters could hear when asking around.

The rumours are concentrated on Nor’Merica, especially Philly del Phia, and include rumours related to creatures of the wastes. They can be used as background colour, misinformation or adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

24. Joa Simm was the Iron Slave who led the revolt at the Ironworks and is currently attempting to make sure the new leadership doesn’t behave like the old one did, made harder by a need to keep around those who have the requisite knowledge. It’s rumoured that some of the former Iron Slaves don’t believe Joa is going far enough in dealing with the creators of the slave trade, and are planning to depose her in order to put someone more willing to do what they want in her place.

25. Killer Clowns are zeds that act with a degree of tactical skill, suggesting that they have at least some ability to think. There are rumours of “circuses” of Killer Clowns travelling through the wasteland, in far greater numbers than would normally be the case. These circuses chose remote settlements to visit, and wipe them out in a hysterical frenzy of horrendous jokes.

26. Limerick Generating Plant is a nuclear plant from the old world and a holy site for the Church of Darwin. The Church is in a war with the Sons of Thunder, a group of Diesel Jock Fallow Hopes, whose leader would destroy the reactor if she gets the right people and explosives. It’s rumoured that explosives are being slowly filtered to the Sons of Thunder from somewhere, something the Church of Darwin would like to put a stop to.
