When characters are asking around for information, or getting it from other sources, they may hear rumours and bits of other information.

This supplement has 100 rumours that they could hear on the Crucible. Whether or not any rumour is true is up to the GameMaster. They can be used as background colour or as potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

84. The Vaxrak Portal of Outpost Nyyon was an attempt to circumvent the Boundary of the Crucible, though it apparently failed, instead opening randomly to other regions of the Crucible. Some of the things seen through the portal seem to have no possibility of existing even on the Crucible, and some have wondered if in fact the portal is travelling sideways to alternate timelines.

85. There are many uses for the ghost-iron that can be harvested from Ironweb Foundry in Macis Swamp, and this, combined with the small supply, keeps the prices high. It’s rumoured that it’s also leading to a crime wave as those who can’t get the ghost-iron they want are resorting to less than legal means to acquire it.

86. There are rumours about outsiders doing underhand dealings in Horizon, which sprang up from the initial trading posts established by the SAV Quantum. There are rumours that Captain Jericho has become concerned enough about some of these rumours, which would pose a danger to her people and ship if true, that she has started taking steps to investigate them.
