Characters may hear rumours when asking around, whether they are trying to find out something in particular or just generally seeking information.
This supplement has 100 hooks and rumours foe Shelzar in the Scarred Lands.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
26. In Shelzar, it’s technically illegal to be publicly drunk or drink in public places other than restaurants and taverns, though the same prohibition doesn’t extend to drugs or other intoxicants. It’s rumoured that some, such as the Coreanites, are trying to get drugs and other intoxicants treated the same way as alcohol, opposed by groups who essentially agree that they
should all be treated the same, just the other way around.
27. In Shelzar, when a criminal is put to death their soul is dedicated to Enkili, and any attempts to raise or resurrect them are entirely dependent on whether the god decides to release the soul. It’s rumoured that some have attempted to use this with varying degrees of success to ensure enemies can’t be raised from the dead, but reportedly those trying to take advantage of Enkili’s will in such a way have a tendency to end up suffering runs of bad luck.
28. In the subterranean parts of Shelzar can be found places that cater to the more warped pleasures that people seek which, even though they might not necessarily be illegal, would be publicly problematic, especially for visitors. It’s rumoured that there are even worse places in the Underground that are definitely illegal that only those truly in the know can find.
