100 Orcs for Shadow of the Demon Lord

100 Orcs for Shadow of the Demon Lord

100 Orcs for Shadow of the Demon LordThe orcs of Shadow of the Demon Lord were created from the jotun using dark magics as soldiers, and have finally rebelled against their masters.

This supplement has 100 named and briefly described clockworks. They can be used as foes or potential friends or allies.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

42. Inked: Tattoos are popular with orcs but even by orc standards Inked is heavily covered in them. The tattoos tend to be on the brutally graphic side, picturing humans being subjected to horrors, often at the hands of orcs, but a knowledgeable eye who can look past the graphic nature of the subject matter will realise that the tattoos are done with a great deal of skill. The tattoos were designed and done by Inked themself, and the orc will also do tattoos on other orcs, sometimes in exchange for the raw ingredients they need for the vibrant colours they use.

43. Iron: Orcs in general distrust and dislike all faeries and faeries generally avoid orcs, but Iron is an orc with a particular hatred of the fey, despising them even more than they do the humans who enslaved orcs. The orc will hunt down all fey creatures when they can and often torturing them with the iron after which the orc is named. It’s not clear whey Iron has such a hatred of the fey, and they are unwilling to discuss their reasons, but some believe that at some point when they were younger that Iron must have been harmed greatly by the fair folk in some way.

44. It: It is an orc with very little in the way of imagination, or indeed the capacity for independent thought. They are not stupid so much as they have difficulty coming up with ideas of their own accord, which made them very useful as a soldier, because they would unquestioningly follow orders. With the Empire no longer giving It orders, the orc has moved their loyalty to the orcish rebellion, and they will still follow orders without question. The orc has bever wondered if the things they are told to do, no matter who by, are right or wrong.
