100 Pookas for Changeling: the Dreaming

100 Pookas for Changeling: the DreamingThis supplement has 100 briefly described pookas that can be used in a game of Changeling: the Dreaming. In most cases, their court allegiance, and often their seeming, are not described, allowing a Storyteller to configure them as needed. They can be used as random Kithain encountered, or as friends or foes.

The pookas are named and a brief description of their major point of interest is given.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

90. Sofia Ryan: Sofia is a pooka who believes that all authority figures need to be brought down a notch or two; the more humourless and serious the figure, and the more full of themselves they are, the more they need to be brought down. Sofia’s way of doing this, though, is perhaps best described as being completely juvenile. They play pranks on authority figures, but never serious ones. All, however, are intended to embarrass the individual in question. Whether this be a whoopie cushion on their seat at an important event, cold custard poured over them or other actions in a similar vein.

91. Stella O’Murry: Stella is for all intents and purposes a stand-up comedian, though one that performs on the streets, not in venues. The pooka is a very quick thinker and their entire routine is improvised, and based around making fun of passers-by. The comments are rarely malicious in nature, and often pick one character trait and exaggerate it, but more than once someone has wound up on the losing end of a spiel with Stella. One reason they like performing on the streets is it’s much easier to run for it should someone really take offence.

92. Summer Hunter: Pookas are not fans of hard work, which is one reason why Summer has gone through a lot of different jobs. They do tend to be popular with their coworkers, though, for the pooka
always seeks to inject an element of fun into whatever they are doing. This, however, is rarely conducive to the best operation of a business, and is, aside from the lack of interest in hard work, a reason why Summer keeps having to look for new jobs. Their coworkers may enjoy having them around but their bosses find Summer a disruptive element.
