100 Encounters for Fantasy Plains

100 Encounters for Fantasy Plains

100 Encounters for Fantasy PlainsJourneys can often be bland and this supplement has 100 encounters suitable for enlivening those that take place on the flat areas of a fantasy settings; plains, grasslands and savannah.

The encounters can be used as a source of background colour for a journey. Some are potentially dangerous, some are odd. Some may be a potential source of adventure hooks.

The supplement is also available in a version for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. You do not need both versions.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

71. Rising from the plains is a small hill, easily the highest point for leagues. On the top of the hull are ancient stones that were once part of a signal beacon.

72. Rolling slowly down the track is a wagon that is aflame.

73. Scattered on the path are what look like signs of an ambush. Broken arrows and crossbow bolts are embedded in the ground and there are pools of blood soaking into the ground. There are no bodies present, though.
