100 Haunted Locales

100 Haunted LocalesHuntings are common in various different games and this supplement has 100 haunted locations fir characters to encounter.

Each haunting is tied to a specific location and some history of what is believed to make the location haunted is given. Whether or not a location is genuinely haunted is up to the GM.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

35. Ferry’s End: During bad weather, but mostly due to poor maintenance, a ferry sank in the river here, with most of the people onboard drowned when it went down. Sometimes, it’s said you can see the accident occurring again at night.

36. Giant’s Table: An ancient dolmen tomb of which all that remains are the three uprights and top, giving it the appearance of a huge table. The tomb was plundered and unearthed long before known history of the area, and there are claims that the one who was interred there is still unhappy by this. Youngsters sometimes dare each other to stay overnight at the tomb and some claim they have seen a figure in ancient armour wandering the area.

37. Hurlow Farm: After Jonas Hurlow, the owner of the farm, passed away, his only surviving relatives took it over. They were distressed to find the bodies of seven people buried beneath the farmyard, solving a number of local disappearances. Hurlow’s victims are said to still look for the one who killed them, and assume anyone living in the farm is him. As a result, the farm has stood empty for years.
