100 Hooks and Rumours for the Blight: BookTown (Lost Lands)

100 Hooks and Rumours for the Blight: BookTown (Lost Lands)

100 Hooks and Rumours for the Blight: BookTown (Lost Lands)This supplement has 100 hooks and rumours that characters could hear in or about BookTown in Castorhage, or the Blight, in the Lost Lands setting.

These rumours can be used as background colour for the setting or as potential adventure hooks.

To use the list either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

75. The Princess Louise is BookTown’s finest pub, though it gains its reputation mostly as a place to meet and talk, as it only sells beer and ale. There are rumours, though, that the pub’s owners eavesdrop on all conversations in the pub, keeping notes of who is meeting who and why.

76. The Royal Association of Scribes is a small organisation of scribes based in BookTown. Master Scribe Brannan Hask is known to be recruiting linguists to the association and it’s rumoured that he wants the group to become more powerful and influential, which means having members with a greater degree of skill covering more subjects.

77. The Royal Cartographer’s Society has a collection of maps that easily outstrips that of the Gentlemen’s Explorers Club, and members of the Society are encouraged to outdo the Explorer’s Club. There are rumours that the Explorer’s Club occasionally resorts to underhand means in order to prevent the Society from getting further ahead.
