100 Hooks and Rumours for the Borderland Provinces

100 Rumours for the Borderland ProvincesThis supplement has100 different rumours that characters could hear in or about the Borderland Provinces of the Lost Lands setting.

These rumours can be used as background colour for the setting or as potential adventure hooks.

To use the list either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

42. Small craft on the Gaelon River have been suffering attacks from a group of vulchlings. Until now, the vulchlings have most attacked fishing vessels and rafts, but recently the attacks have grown bolder and a few merchant vessels have suffered from the depredations of the vulchlings. Locals in the valley are trying to find out the origin of the attacks so that they can be stopped.

43. Some of the nobles of Aachen Province in the Borderland Provinces are becoming disgruntled with remaining loyal to the Kingdoms of Foere, and have been grumbling to each other about declaring independence from an Overking who takes but never gives. Oddly, this grumbling has recently diminished, and there’s a belief that the nobles in question are trending more towards action now than speech. There are suggestions that some of the nobles have been speaking to others outside of the province about providing support for a newly independent nation, in exchange for certain benefits.

44. Someone in Keston Province has apparently been trying to find where a relative of theirs is, one that was convicted of a crime and sentenced to labour. They reportedly were asking around in some of the larger towns, as there didn’t appear to be a record of their relative anywhere. They were last seen leaving Kingston, heading towards the north, never to return.
