100 Sounds to Hear in a DungeonDungeons, whether they be inhabited or not, and whether the inhabitants are the living or the undead, are not necessarily quiet places. There are many things that can make sounds.

Such sounds may be evidence of other creatures in the dungeon, potential warnings for nearby threats or simply irrelevant background noise. Even if such noises may be worrying or disturbing. This is a list of 100 different sounds that characters could hear in a dungeon.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

47. Knocking – A quiet knocking on a nearby wall or door can be heard.
48. Laughter – An echoing laugh can be coming from the distance. The laughter does not sound remotely humorous.
49. Marching – The sound of many booted feet, marching in unison.
