100 Encounters for Coastal Regions (Lore 100)

100 Encounters for Coastal Regions (Lore 100)

100 Encounters for Coastal Regions (Lore 100)Characters can have encounters along the coast whilst travelling and this supplement has 100 encounters for such locations.

Some encounters are suitable for land travel, some for water travel and some for both. They can be used to enliven a journey or as a source of potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

50. Inside a small cave in a cliff is a boat and several empty crates. The boat belongs to a group of smugglers who won’t be happy to find others in their cave (treat the smugglers as five Henchmen).

51. Iron reinforcements have been fixed to a cliff overlooking the beach, stopping the crumbling rock from falling. The iron is old and rusted and not as effective as it once was. (If disturbed, there is a chance that some of the rocks might fall. Violent spells or being hit will result in a collapse on 1-5 on 1d10; those within 10’ of the cliff will need to make an Average Dodging roll or
suffer Ones damage.)

52. Jutting out of the sand is a rock that appears strange from a distance. If investigated, it appears to be a fossil of an ammonite (an Average Science (Nature) roll), but an immense one over a yard in diameter.
