Travelling through regions of snow and ice can be dangerous and this supplement has 100 different encounters to enliven such a journey.

The encounters can be used for Arctic regions, frozen mountains or during winter. Some encounters are odd, some potentially useful and some dangerous. Some are a source of potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

64. Shapes can be seen moving quickly in the distance. They are too far away to clearly make out, but the speed they are moving at seems far too fast for the amount of snow and ice that is on the
ground, even for such as skis and sleds (an Average Survival roll to confirm this).

65. Small areas of snow seem to have formed flower-like patterns, but a closer examination shows that they are actually flowers with petals that blend with the snow. The flowers are of a strange breed that survives in snow and ice where most such would freeze to death, and are rumoured to be a source of useful ingredients for countering the effect of the cold (a Hard Alchemy & Herbalism roll confirms this).

66. Small, circular items on the snow prove to resemble coins made from ice if examined closely. The ice coins have been scattered around and there must be several dozen of them.
