100 Encounters for Post-Apocalyptic Rivers (Mutant Future)

100 Encounters for Post-Apocalyptic Rivers (Mutant Future)

100 Encounters for Post-Apocalyptic Rivers (Mutant Future)Travelling through a post-apocalyptic land still results in encounters, albeit often stranger ones. This supplement has 100 such encounters for characters to have.

The encounters are most suited for use in a post-war apocalyptic setting, where weapons of every and all types have been used. They can be used as a way to enliven a journey or as potential adventure hooks.

The supplement is also available in a system neutral version. You do not need both versions.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

48. One bank of the river is significantly higher than the other and inset into it are regularly-spaced openings that are blocked by metal sheets (if the sheets are removed, entrances to an underground warren of tunnels can be found; the ML can flesh these out of wished).

49. Part of the river is sectioned off where a clearly artificial channel joins, though at a significantly greater height. In the closed entrance to the channel is a wrecked boat, stuck in the ruined lift that would previously have lifted boats between the river and the channel (searching the boat takes 3d4+3 rounds and will recover one assorted junk).

50. Partially blocking the river is the wreck of an old boat. The wreck is sitting on the river’s floor, yet a substantial amount of rusted and twisted metal sticks above the surface. The metal looks scorched and twisted by heat.
