100 Encounters for the Post-Apocalyptic Desert (Mutant Future)

100 Encounters for the Post-Apocalyptic Desert (Mutant Future)Even when travelling through a post-apocalyptic land, characters will have encounters, albeit of a different and sometimes strange type. This supplement has 100 such for a desert.

The encounters are most suited for use in a post-war apocalyptic setting, where weapons of every and all types have been used. They can be used as a way to enliven a journey or as potential adventure hooks.

The supplement is also available in a system neutral version. You do not need both versions.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

62. Resting on its side is an old, and now badly damaged, tanker vessel. The hull has been broken open in many places and sand has drifted in. It looks as if it has been used as a home for various creatures of the desert (currently occupied by a Scorpion Swarm, No. Enc.: 1, Alignment: Neutral, Movement: 60’ (20’), Armor Class: 8, Hit Dice: 2, Attacks: 1, Damage: 1d6+ Class 2 poison on a hit, Save: L1, Morale: 5, Hoard Class: None).

63. Rising out of the sand is a black stone pillar bearing strange carvings. The pillar has four sides and fastened to it on each side is a pair of manacles.

64. Running across the desert, and sometimes disappearing below its surface, is a large metal pipe, several feet in diameter. The pipe has been broken open in numerous places (the pipe is now home to Ordinary Rats, see p.91, as well as the occasional Pit Viper Snake, see p.96).
