Magic items sometimes need command words in order to use them. It can always be assumed that PCs and NPCs simply use those command words when needed, but it can be more interesting to actually have a command word to say.

This is a collection of 520 different words, 20 for each letter of the alphabet, that can be used as command words for magic items. Or anything else appropriate. These words might be overheard or discovered written down somewhere, possibly causing players to investigate just what they actually are.
