100 Dungeon Entrances (PFRPG)

100 Dungeon Entrances (PFRPG)Before exploring a dungeon, it needs to be entered, and this supplement has 100 different entrances that characters could use.

The entrances range from the hidden to the magical to those that are easy to find. Some can be used with ease; others are more difficult to enter.

The supplement is also available in a system neutral version.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

83. Stacked in a field is a large pile of boulders. They have clearly been there for some time, judging by growth (DC 10 Knowledge (nature) check), but one of them is carefully positioned (DC 20 Perception check to notice) so that it can be easily pivoted aside, revealing a trapdoor that leads into the dungeon.

84. Standing in the desert is a small, ruined pyramid of a forgotten king. The pyramid itself wasn’t constructed to entomb the king, but as a way of guarding the entrance to an ill-omened complex of chambers below the earth. In the king’s resting chamber is a slab of rock forming one wall that can be caused to descend into the floor (DC 25 Perception check to find the trigger mechanism), allowing access to the dungeon.

85. Sticking partially out of the ground is the dome of a building. There is a single entrance, partially blocked by dirt (a single person with digging equipment can clear the dirt out of the way in 2d4+2 rounds; two people can halve that but there is no room for more). If the building is entered, it consists of a single chamber with a flagstone
floor, in the centre of which is a circular pit leading into the dungeon.
