100 Encounters for Fantasy Mountains (PFRPG)

100 Encounters for Fantasy Mountains (PFRPG)Mountains can be dangerous places to visit in and of themselves, with such as mud and rock slides, cold, freezing winds and the chance of falling from high up.

This supplement has 100 different encounters that can be used to enliven journeys through such regions. They can be used as background colour or as a source of potential adventure hooks. Some are potentially useful, others are potentially dangerous and some are odd.

The supplement is also available in a system-neutral version. You do not need to buy both versions.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

46. From this point the view of the plains below the mountain is stupendous. Nothing blocks it, allowing the viewer to see many miles, including settlements and fortifications.

47. Grass covers the slope of the mountain here, divided up into several fields by drystone walls. The fields are currently empty, but it appears (DC 10 Perception) that something has been kept in them recently.

48. Huddled under an overhanging shelf of rock is a small village cut from the native rock. From a distance, the village almost blends into its surroundings. Viewed closer, and there is no sign of life. On further investigation, the village is empty and, judging by the state of the buildings (DC 20 Perception or DC 15 Knowledge (engineering)), was abandoned a long time ago.
