100 Encounters for Moorlands and Heaths (PFRPG)

100 Encounters for Moorlands and Heaths (PFRPG)

100 Encounters for Moorlands and Heaths (PFRPG)Moorlands and heaths are closely related terrain and end to be the result of long human habitation. Different encounters can be had on a journey through such.

This supplement has 100 suitable encounters for such regions, that can be used to enhance a journey or as potential adventure hooks.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

The supplement is also available in a system neutral version. You do not need both versions.

Here are some sample results:

68. Sheep are grazing on a greener patch of the moors, though no shepherd is in sight. Nor do the sheep look to have been tended recently (a DC 10 Profession (farmer) check), suggesting that they may be wild.

69. Small, low-lying shrubs are covered in tiny, dark blue berries, identifiable as bilberries (DC 10 Knowledge (nature) check; in 1d4+2 turns, 1d6 days’ worth of rations can be gathered).

70. Smoke is rising from the moor, and closer examination shows that it’s the moor itself that is burning, as the peat is smouldering (walking on the peat causes 1d2 hp of damage per round, 1d4 for those in metal armour).
