Shrines can be holy, or unholy, places in their own right, or they can be part of a larger temple or place of worship.
This supplement has 100 shrines that can be encountered, whether within urban areas or on travels. They can range from the understandable to the odd.
To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.
Here are some sample results:
52. Open wooden box in which a number of small items have been placed; a broken spyglass, a shattered sword, a torn pouch and other, more fragmentary remains. The whole is covered by a large wooden gazebo with a peaked roof surrounded by gingerbread woodwork.
53. Ordinary looking rock (confirmed to be such with a DC 5 Knowledge (dungeoneering) check), only a few feet in diameter, in a small lawn. The rock itself is surrounded by a low wooden fence no taller than the rock itself.
54. Painting of a stern-faced elderly woman, covered by a sheet of good quality glass and fastened to a stone wall. A sheltering roof protrudes out over the painting.
