100 Characters You Might Meet In A Star Port

100 Characters You Might Meet In A Star PortStar ports can be based on planets or be dedicated space stations. They may be places of dubious repute or one with a sterling reputation. Whatever a star port is like, at some point characters are going to pass through one.

This supplement provides a list of 100 different NPCs that can be used to flesh out a star port. These NPCs can be used simply as background colour, as someone the characters briefly interact with, someone whose services they require or as potential adventure hooks.

These NPCs are aimed at the Starfinder game, but this is only due to the races used. There are no stats and, with variable amounts of tinkering, the NPCs can be adapted to other systems and settings. Simply swap out races and descriptions where needed and replace them with another that is more appropriate. Many can simply be dropped into other settings with none to minimal changes.

To use the NPCs, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

54. Tarak Dur: A Kasatha with enough raw, physical might to crush a man’s skull with one hand, Tarak is typically found in a corner table sipping coffee with a shot of butter brandy, and writing in an old-fashioned journal. Those familiar with Tarak’s work know that he’s the author of the Starsword series; a collection of adventures based on his experience as a mercenary, which also contains the struggles and prejudices faced by himself and his people.
55. Shigami “Sparks” Plashuda: An angular Shirren with a love of cables, cords, and network building, Shigami is what some people refer to as a “spark bug”; a colloquial term for Shirren who weave and maintain the networks among some settlements. While Shigami finds the term endearing, this is most definitely not the case with others of her kind who do the same job.
56. Tawny Wilds: With her soft coat of light-colored fur, and strong teeth often displayed in a wide smile, this Ysoki is something of a health guru (though she sometimes forgets that what’s good for Ysoki isn’t necessarily what’s good for other races). She’s also a groomer and a stylist, who has a knack for bringing out the inner beauty of anyone who sits in her chair.
