100 Less Than Useful Books to Find on a Wild West Bookshelf

100 Less Than Useful Books to Find on a Wild West BookshelfBooks may be important, valuable or needed in quests or adventures. Not every book comes under these categories, so what of the rest? Only being able to name important books makes them stand out.

This is a list of 100 different books that are not unimportant or very valuable that can be found on a Wild West (or Weird West) bookshelf. Each book comes with its name, author and a description of its not very useful contents.

To use the list, either roll d100 for a random result or select appropriate ones manually.

Here are some sample results:

67.  Saddle Repair and Maintenance by Tex Jeffries – Non-fiction, a very detailed manual on how to keep saddles in the best shape, which would be of more use if the tools and equipment needed could be
carried around in anything smaller than a wagon.
68. Saddle Up! by Marcus Morris – Fiction, or, more properly, highly fictionalised non-fiction, this tells exaggerated tales of the happenings on various cattle drives.
69. Secret Healing Methods of the Indians by Dr. Jerome Oster – Non-fiction, a book by a self-proclaimed doctor, or more truly a snake oil salesman who graduated into selling books. The secret healing methods have nothing to do with the natives and are simply a way of selling dubious remedies to a larger audience without personal contact with the marks.
